Examples of Subject Types

Insurance Cases:  Claimant, Witness, Plaintiff, etc

Domestic Cases:  Subject, Spouse, Family Member, etc

Legal Cases:  Plaintiff, Defendant, Witness, Responding Officer, etc.

You can add multiple subjects on any case.

Subject Types are comprised of different names, names of your choosing, which you can add at any time through the settings under Subject Type.  To create a new Subject Type, simply go to the Settings tab, and then click the Subject Types link.  From here, click the Add Subject Type button in the top right. At this point, all you need to do is label your subject type.

To create a new Subject, click the Settings tab, then in the Case Customization area click Subject Types. 

You will be taken to the Subject Type page. Once there, click on Add Subject Type in the upper right corner of the page. You will now have the opportunity to create a new Subject. Once you've added the new Subject Type, be sure to click Submit. Once you have created your new subject type,

IMPORTANT:  Associate your new Subject type to be visible on certain cases.

To do this, go to the settings icon of the left side of your screen, the next screen will populate and you will need to navigate to the Case Customization section. Click on Case Type, choose the case type you wish to add the new subject type to by clicking on the little pencil on the right hand side. You will see a section labeled Additional Subject Type; if you click in the text box it will give you a drop down list of you subject types and to choose the one you want you will just simply click on it. Once you have chosen all the subject types you wish to add to this case type be sure to click submit.

You can make this the "primary" type of subject on a type of case by adding the new subject as the primary subject in the case type. This will prompt the user to create this designated subject type when submitting a new case.
